Birthday Book Club
Modern Woodmen kids who qualify can receive a book in the mail each birthday up to age 16. The high-quality, age-appropriate books include classic tales, contemporary fiction and educational resources.
Chapters
These local groups of Modern Woodmen members come together regularly for social, educational and volunteer activities. Chapter activities are experiences, not sales events, and are open to members of all ages. Members 55 and older can also participate in Summit chapters – special groups targeted to the interests of this age group.

Do-Good Grant®
Members can apply to receive $200 in seed money to coordinate a small-scale volunteer project with family and friends. Modern Woodmen will award a limited number of grants per year on a first-come, first-served basis.

Get your “house” in order and share your late-in-life/end-of-life wishes … or help a loved one with this important task. These guides help members plan, organize and start conversations.
Fraternal Aid Fund
Members who experience financial hardship due to disasters, such as fires, floods, storms or serious health problems, can apply for financial assistance to cover their Modern Woodmen life insurance premiums for a limited time.

Modern Woodmen offers college scholarships for young members who are making an impact in their local communities.
Modern Woodmen Travels
Select groups of members can attend special trips to exciting destinations, hosted and planned by Modern Woodmen. Enjoy discounted rates, exclusive events and a unique community impact experience tied to the local culture.
Newborn Life Insurance Benefit
This program ensures member parents can obtain permanent life insurance coverage their newborn can build on as an adult … regardless of health. In case of early tragedy, the program offers financial support for the newborn’s funeral or medical costs.
Orphan Support Benefit
Modern Woodmen supports qualifying children who lose both parents by providing a monthly allowance to the child’s guardian. This member program includes an education grant.
Terminal Illness Interest Relief
Members who receive an advance on their death benefit through a terminal illness accelerated benefit rider will also receive relief for up to $5,000 (per member) of the first year’s lien interest.
Youth Service Clubs
These groups help Modern Woodmen kids make an impact close to home. Club members form lifelong friendships with other Modern Woodmen members in their area while helping their schools, neighborhoods and favorite causes.
